DAVID'S STORY
Let me introduce David Leach, England and Wales Lacrosse Player, Osteopath, husband, father and if you ever had the pleasure of meeting him, one of the most vibrant, energetic and lovers of life you’d ever meet!
On December 11th 2022, Davey started his day like any other Sunday, playing his well-loved sport Lacrosse with his team Thundercats (Part of the England Box Lacrosse Development League). During the game, Davey broke his neck at level C3/4.
Davey’s life immediately changed overnight. As a cranial/spinal expert, Davey was fully aware of the severity of the injury and the life-changing journey he and the family will now face.
Davey has an impact on every person he meets in life. He is kind, generous and thoughtful, someone who always gives his all to his family, friends, community and work life (basically everyone he ever meets!)
Whilst we are still in the dark as to what will happen next, the reality is we are unsure of Davey’s future at the moment and his journey to recovery will be a long hard path. His hospitalisation currently has no definite prognosis to the final outcome.
The funds we are raising, are targeted to help cover his loss of earnings, ensuring the family can pay household bills, medical care, travel and transportation along with childcare costs. We are also hoping to over time purchase mobility aids and eventually assist with large house developments or relocation to suitable accommodation.
Davey has always supported himself and everyone around him and now the family find themselves in a state of need to be able to give Davey the care he needs
